Parent-child Hiking Trip
July 4-8, 2023
An Adventure of Body and Spirit

Who is this for?
Parent-child duos interested in physical challenge and spirituality in a wilderness setting.

What's the itinerary?
The journey begins with a road-trip from Victoria, BC to Campbell River. Then we hike for three days (with spiritual practices interspersed), then head home.
Day 1: Drive from Victoria, BC to Elk Falls Provincial Park near Campbell River, BC.
Day 2: Drive to the trailhead. Hike from the trailhead to Butterwort Creek Camp (6.5km)
Day 3: Hike from Butterwort Creek Camp to Landslide Lake, then back to Gravel Bar Camp (5.5km).
Day 4: Hike from Gravel Bar Camp to trailhead (9.5km). Drive the short distance to Elk Falls Provincial Park.
Day 5: Drive to Victoria.

How much will it cost?
For registration we suggest a suggested donation of $75/person, or $100 for a parent-child duo
Because of the generosity of The United Church of Canada Foundation and the St John's Legacy Foundation, the fee covers travel, food, and camping expenses.
We will be borrowing whatever gear we need.
Bursaries are available.
